Defect
In the combination meter, insufficient consideration during development of the engine oil pressure warning light control program prevents the meter from receiving the fault signal generated when oil pressure drops below the required level. As a result, the engine oil pressure warning light does not illuminate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the combination meter with the corrected/updated software.
