Defect
In the DC-DC converter (voltage conversion unit), inadequate control of production equipment results in insufficient soldering of the control circuit board on some units. Repeated thermal cycling during use causes the solder joints to detach, preventing charging of the auxiliary battery and illuminating a warning light. In the worst case, the hybrid system may shut down and the vehicle may become inoperable.
Corrective action
Inspect the serial number of the DC-DC converter on all vehicles. If the unit falls within the affected range, replace it with a conforming unit.

状況
電圧変換装置(DC-DCコンバータ)において、生産設備の管理が不適切なため、制御基板の半田付けが不十分なものがある。そのため、使用過程における冷熱の繰り返しで半田が剥離して、補機バッテリへの充電ができなくなることで警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、ハイブリッドシステムが停止して走行不能となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、DC-DCコンバータの製造番号を点検し、該当する場合は良品と交換する。
