Defect
On light-duty trucks, the dosing control unit (DCU) contains an improperly designed control program that causes the malfunction indicator (MI) lamp to illuminate or flash in a pattern inconsistent with design intent at ignition-on. As a result, the vehicle does not conform to the on-board diagnostic system (diesel heavy-vehicle J-OBD2) technical standards prescribed in Article 31, Detailed Regulations Article 41, Appended Table 48 of the Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the DCU with the corrected/updated software.

状況
小型トラックにおいて、ドージングコントロールユニット(DCU)の制御プログラムが不適切なため、イグニッションキーオン時の異常表示装置(MI)の点灯/点滅の作動が設計意図と不一致となっている。そのため、保安基準第31条の細目告示第41条別添48の車載式故障診断装置(ディーゼル重量車J-OBD2)の技術基準を満足しない。
改善措置
全車両、DCUのプログラムを対策プログラムに修正する。
