Defect
On dump trucks equipped with a tail lamp protective cover at the rear of the body, the underride guard is mounted in an incorrect position. As a result, the horizontal distance from the flat surface of the underride guard to the rear face of the body exceeds the specified value and does not conform to the Safety Standards under the Road Vehicles Act.
Corrective action
Install a spacer between the rear bumper body and the mounting stay of the underride guard (correction 1), or modify the shape of the tail lamp protective cover (correction 2).

状況
車体後部にテールランプ保護カバーを備えたダンプ車において、突入防止装置の取付位置が不適切な車両がある。このため突入防止装置の平面部から車体後面までの水平距離が規定値を超え、道路運送車両法の保安基準に適合しない。
改善措置
突入防止装置のリヤバンパ本体と取付ステーの間にスペーサを取付(1)、またはテールランプ保護カバーの形状を変更する(2)。
