Defect
Due to inadequate controls during the manufacturing process, excessive amounts of pre-paint chemical conversion fluid remain trapped inside the front stabilizer bar pipe on some units. This causes hydrogen embrittlement, reducing the strength of the bar. Continued use allows torsional forces generated during driving to fracture the stabilizer bar.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the front stabilizer bar identification paint mark. Any bar manufactured at the identified production facility must be replaced with a conforming part.

状況
フロントスタビライザにおいて、製造工程の管理が不適切なため、パイプ内部に塗装前の化成液が多量に残留し、水素脆化によって強度が低下しているものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、走行中の捩じり力によってスタビライザが折損するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、フロントスタビライザの識別ペイントを確認し、該当する生産工場製のものは良品と交換する。
