Defect
On dump trucks equipped with a hydraulically retractable rear underrun protection device, improper installation resulted in the stopper plate — which absorbs load during a rear-end collision — being omitted during assembly. As a result, displacement of the device under test load exceeds the specified value, and the vehicle does not conform to the Safety Standards under the Road Vehicles Act.
Corrective action
Install the stopper plate on all vehicles. Inspect the installed condition of the stopper plate and verify correct operation of the underrun protection device.

状況
ダンプ用油圧格納式突入防止装置を装着したダンプ車において、取付作業が不適切なため、衝突時の荷重を受けるストッパプレートを取付けずに製作したものがある。このため、試験荷重を負荷した状態における当該装置の変位量が基準を超え、道路運送車両法の保安基準に適合しない。
改善措置
・全車両、ストッパプレートを取付ける。 ・ストッパプレートの取付け状態及び突入防止装置の動作確認検査を実施する。
