Defect
On the cargo bodies of large refrigerated/freezer trucks, excessive caulking compound was applied to the rivet covers at the corner rail sections, resulting in insufficient bonding. Under load during vehicle operation, the ends of the rivet covers may lift away from the corner rail. In the worst case, the cover may hang down and obstruct other traffic.
Corrective action
Inspect the rivet covers on all vehicles. Where no lifting is present, secure the rearmost end of the rivet cover with a rivet fastener. Where lifting is present, replace the rivet cover and then secure the rearmost end with a rivet fastener.

状況
大型冷蔵冷凍車の荷箱において、コーナーレール部リベットカバーのコーキングの塗布量が多く、接合が不十分なものがある。そのため走行時の負荷により、リベットカバーの端部がコーナーレールより浮き上がり、最悪の場合、垂れさがり他の交通の妨げになるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両のリベットカバーを点検し、浮き上がりが無いものはリベットカバーの最後端部にリベット締結を行い、浮き上がりが有るものについてはリベットカバーを交換の上、最後端部にリベット締結を行う。
