Defect
The vertically mounted fire extinguisher box installed between the axles on these medium and large trucks uses an improper hinge pin. Vibration during driving may cause the pin to fall out. In the worst case, the fire extinguisher box lid detaches from the vehicle and creates a hazard to other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the fire extinguisher box. If the hinge pin is incorrect, replace it with a corrected part.

状況
大中型トラックのホイールベース間に取付けた縦型消火器ボックスにおいて、不適切なヒンジピンを使用しているものがある。そのため、走行時の振動等によりピンが抜け落ちる可能性があり、最悪の場合、消火器ボックスの蓋が脱落し、他の交通の妨げとなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、消火器ボックスを点検し、ヒンジが不適切な場合は対策品に交換する。
