Defect
In replacement front seat belt retractors, defective force limiter assemblies were incorporated during manufacturing. In a collision, the force limiter may not function correctly, allowing excessive belt webbing to pay out and causing the restraint system to fail to meet occupant protection Safety Standards.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the front seat belt serial numbers and replace any affected units with conforming parts.

状況
補修用前席シートベルトの巻取り装置において、フォースリミッタ機構の製造不良品を巻取り装置に組み付けたものがある。そのため、衝突時などの際にフォースリミッタが正常に機能せずシートベルトが引き出され、法規である乗員保護性能を満足しないおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、前席シートベルトの製造番号を確認し、該当するものは良品と交換する。
