Defect
In the rear-seat seat belt unfastened warning system, an error in the control software within the combination meter causes the system to incorrectly detect the rear-seat occupant seat belt status when the hybrid system starts. As a result, the rear-seat belt warning lamp may not illuminate correctly, failing to conform to Safety Standards Article 22-3 (Seat Belt Standards).
Corrective action
On all vehicles, reprogram the rear-seat belt warning control software in the combination meter to the corrected specification.
