Defect
(1) Due to improper assembly at the vehicle manufacturing plant, the deployment-assist strap on the curtain airbag was not installed in the correct position on some vehicles. As a result, the airbag may not deploy correctly when activated and, in the worst case, occupants may be injured. (2) Due to improper machining of the disc wheel and inadequate hub bolt specifications, the clamping force of the hub bolts is insufficient for the vehicle's driving performance. Repeated hard acceleration and hard braking may cause the bolts to loosen. Continued operation in this condition produces abnormal noise and, in the worst case, a tire may detach from the vehicle.
Corrective action
(1) On all vehicles, inspect the installation condition of the curtain airbag deployment-assist strap and correct any improper assembly. (2) On all vehicles, replace the disc wheels with conforming units and replace the hub bolts with the corrected parts. Also replace the owner's manual with a revised version that includes handling notes for hub bolts.

状況
（１）カーテンシールドエアバッグにおいて、車両工場での作業が不適切なため、展開補助用のストラップが正規位置に組付けられていないものがある。そのため、エアバッグ作動時に正常に展開できず、最悪の場合、乗員が負傷するおそれがある。（２）ディスクホイール取付部において、ホイールの加工およびハブボルトの仕様が不適切なため、ハブボルトの締結力が車両の走行性能に対して不足し、連続した急加速や急制動の繰返し等で、当該ボルトが緩むことがある。そのため、そのままの状態で走行を続けると、異音が発生し、最悪の場合、タイヤが脱落するおそれがある。
改善措置
（１）全車両、カーテンシールドエアバッグ展開補助用のストラップの組付状態を点検し、不適切なものは修正する。（２）全車両、ディスクホイールを良品に、ハブボルトを対策品に交換する。また、ハブボルトの取扱いに関する注記を記載した取扱説明書に交換する。
