Defect
The Lane Tracing Assist (LTA) function within the driver assistance system uses an improperly configured control program. A deviation in the steering neutral position causes insufficient steering correction by LTA. Depending on curve geometry and vehicle speed, an early warning may activate requiring the driver to intervene manually. This may cause the system to fall out of conformance with Safety Standards Article 11 (steering device). Note: Lane Tracing Assist is a system that assists the driver with steering inputs necessary to maintain lane position while Radar Cruise Control is active.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the Lane Tracing Assist control computer is reprogrammed to the corrected specification.

状況
(1)運転支援装置のLTA(※)において、制御プログラムが不適切なため、ハンドル舵角の中立位置のずれにより、LTAでのハンドル操舵の補正が不足するものがある。そのため、カーブと車両速度の状況によっては、早期に警報が作動して、運転者による操舵が必要となり、保安基準第11条(かじ取り装置)に適合しないおそれがある。(※)レーントレーシングアシスト:レーダークルーズコントロールの作動中車線維持に必要なハンドル操作を支援するシステム
改善措置
(1)全車両、レーントレーシングアシスト用制御コンピュータのプログラムを対策仕様に修正する。
