Defect

On container-carrier vehicles equipped with a collapsible rear underrun protection device, the strength design of the underrun protection device is insufficient. Vibration during vehicle operation may cause cracks to develop in the device. Continued use changes the mounting position of the device, causing the vehicle to fail to conform to the Safety Standards for road vehicles.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, replace the cracked member with a reinforced replacement part.

状況

可倒式突入防止装置を装着した脱着装置付コンテナ専用車において、突入防止装置の強度設計が不適切なため、走行時の振動等により亀裂が発生するものがある。そのまま使用を続けると取付位置が変わるため、道路運送車両の保安基準に適合しない。

改善措置

全車両、亀裂発生部に補強を追加した部材に交換する。
