Defect
The driver's seat suspension was designed with insufficient consideration for operation with the battery terminal disconnected. If the seat height-raise function is operated while the battery is disconnected, the suspension may lock in the raised position and cannot be released, making seat height adjustment impossible. Continued operation in this condition may allow vehicle vibration to inadvertently release the suspension lock, causing the seat to rise further and rendering the suspension lock function inoperative.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, add an electromagnetic shutoff valve and electromagnetic shutoff valve control ECU to the driver's seat air circuit, replace the ratchet gear fastening nut with a new part, and apply thread-locking compound. In addition, inspect the suspension lock function; if any fault is found, replace the complete seat suspension assembly with a corrected part.

状況
運転者席において、シートサスペンションの設計検討が不十分なため、バッテリ端子を外した状態でシートの上昇操作を行った場合、サスペンションがロックされたまま解除されなくなり、座面高さの調整ができなくなることがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、車両走行振動等により、意図せずサスペンションロックが解除されて座面が上昇し、サスペンションロックが機能しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、運転者席シートのエア回路に電磁遮断弁および電磁遮断弁制御ＥＣＵを追加するとともに、ラチェットギア締結部のナットを新品に交換し、緩み止め剤を塗布する。なお、サスペンションロック機能を点検し、機能に問題がある場合はシートサスペンション一式を対策品に交換する。
