Defect

The electric brake booster uses a hydraulic pump motor with improperly specified components. Repeated frequent brake applications can damage the internal wiring of the pump motor, causing insufficient hydraulic pressure. This triggers the brake warning lamp and an audible warning. If the vehicle continues to be operated after the warning lamp and warning sound have activated, brake effectiveness decreases.

Corrective action

On all vehicles, the hydraulic pump motor of the electric brake booster is replaced with a corrected part.
