Defect
On these hybrid vehicles, the engine room wiring harness is routed incorrectly, leaving insufficient clearance between the harness and the bracket securing the engine control unit. The harness contacts the bracket, wearing through the wire insulation and causing a short circuit. In the worst case, the engine stalls while driving and cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, install interference protection material on the affected section of the engine room wiring harness.

状況
ハイブリッド車のエンジンルームハーネスにおいて、エンジンルームハーネスの配策が不適切なため、エンジン制御用コントロールユニットを固定しているブラケットとの隙が不足しているものがある。そのため、当該ハーネスがブラケットに干渉し電線の被覆が削られて短絡し、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止し、その後再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンルームハーネス当該部位に干渉保護材を装着する。
