Defect
In large trucks, the spare tire mounting device attached to the side of the chassis frame at the rear overhang has a bracket of insufficient design strength. Vibration during driving may cause cracks to develop in the mounting device and, in the worst case, cause the mounting point to fracture, dropping the spare tire mounting device and spare tire onto the roadway and creating a hazard to other traffic.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, remove the bracket and replace the spare tire mounting device with the corrected/revised part.

状況
大型トラックのリアオーバーハング部シャシフレーム側面に取り付けたスペアタイヤ取付装置において、ブラケット形状が不適切なため、当該取付装置の強度が不足しているものがある。そのため、走行振動等により当該取付装置に亀裂が生じ、最悪の場合、取付部が破断しスペアタイヤ取付装置及びスペアタイヤが脱落し、他の交通の妨げとなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ブラケットを取外しスペアタイヤ取付装置を対策品に交換する。
