Defect
On turbocharged engine vehicles, the engine control harness is improperly routed, allowing vibration during driving to cause contact between the harness and the intercooler case. This abrades the insulation on the wiring inside the harness, causing a short circuit. In the worst case, the engine may stall while the vehicle is in motion.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, clamp the engine control harness together with the engine blow-by gas hose. If inspection reveals harness damage, repair or replace the harness with a new unit.

状況
過給機付きエンジン車のエンジンコントロールハーネスにおいて、配索が不適切なため、走行時の振動で当該ハーネスがインタークーラーのケースと接触することがある。そのため、当該ハーネス内の電線の被覆が削られて短絡し、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エンジンコントロールハーネスとエンジンブローバイホースを共締めする。なお、ハーネスを確認し損傷している場合は、補修または新品と交換する。
