Defect
On light-duty trucks, an improper engine manufacturing process causes the fuel return hose to become pinched and crushed between the oil filter and the oil level gauge guide. This allows the hose to detach and fuel to leak, which may result in a vehicle fire in the worst case.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the fuel return hose in the vicinity of the oil filter and oil level gauge guide. If crushing is found, replace the hose with a new part and reroute it to prevent recurrence.

状況
小型トラックにおいて、原動機の生産作業工程が不適切なため、燃料リターンホースがオイルフィルターとオイルレベルゲージガイド間に挟み込まれてつぶれているものがある。そのため、燃料リターンホースが外れて燃料が漏れ、最悪の場合、火災に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、オイルフィルターとオイルレベルゲージガイド近傍の燃料リターンホースを点検し、つぶれが認められた場合は新品に交換すると共につぶれが生じないように配策し直す。
