Defect
On concrete mixer trucks fitted with an added external switch for the electric water pump, improper installation instructions resulted in some vehicles having an electrical circuit that bypasses the fuse. Under overload conditions, excessive current may cause the wiring insulation to melt. In the worst case, this may lead to a vehicle fire.
Corrective action
For the standard pump specification (electric motor = 180 W), add a fuse next to the battery. For the high-output pump specification (electric motor = 400 W), replace the switch box with a corrected part.

状況
コンクリートミキサー車の電動水ポンプ用に外部スイッチを追加した車両において、取付け指示が不適切なため、ヒューズを迂回した電気回路のものがある。そのため、過負荷時の過電流により配線被覆が溶融し、最悪の場合、発火に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
標準ポンプ仕様（電動モーター＝１８０Ｗ）の場合は、バッテリー横へヒューズを追加する。 また、高出力ポンプ仕様（電動モーター＝４００Ｗ）の場合は、スイッチボックスを対策品に交換する。
