Defect
On street sweepers, the range of motion for the right-side gutter brush is improperly configured. When the brush is stowed at or beyond a certain tilt angle, it contacts the exhaust after-treatment device. Rotation of the brush during deployment causes wear at the contact point on the after-treatment device. Continued operation allows the wear to progress and, in the worst case, exhaust gas may leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, implement the following corrective measures according to vehicle specification. If the exhaust after-treatment device shows wear, replace it with a new unit. (1) Add a protective cover to the exhaust after-treatment device, a rotation pause timer to the brush, and a caution label inside the cab. (2) Add a tilt angle limiting plate to the right-side gutter brush.

状況
清掃車の作業装置において、右側ガッタブラシの可動域の設定が不適切なため、一定角度以上にチルトさせた状態で格納すると、ブラシが排出ガス後処理装置に接触することがある。そのため、ブラシ張出時のブラシの回転等により、排出ガス後処理装置の接触部が摩耗し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、摩耗が進行し、排気ガスが漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、仕様に応じて以下の改善措置を実施する。排出ガス後処理装置が摩耗している場合は、新品に交換する。 １．排出ガス後処理装置に保護用カバー、ブラシに回転一時停止タイマ、キャブ内に注意銘板を追加する。 ２．右側ガッタブラシにチルト角度制限プレートを追加する。
