Defect
On the driver's seat or rear seat rail, an improper machining jig for the position-adjustment holes produces holes that are too narrow. As a result, the seat may not lock securely. In the worst case, the seat may move during a collision, causing excessive injury to the occupant.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the seat rail serial number. On affected units, replace the seat rail with a non-defective part.
