Defect
On large trucks, the air dryer's compressed air pressure test connector is made of an unsuitable material. Components present in the compressed air generated by the compressor, combined with high operating pressure, cause the connector to crack from corrosion and leak compressed air. As cracks progress, the compressed air supply rate becomes insufficient, triggering an air pressure warning lamp and audible alarm. In the worst case, the parking brake cannot be released, rendering the vehicle inoperable.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the air pressure test connector with a corrected part.

状況
大型トラックのエアドライヤーにおいて、圧縮空気の圧力テスト用コネクタの材質が不適切なため、エアコンプレッサで作られた圧縮空気中に含まれる成分及び高圧力等によって、当該コネクタが腐食割れして圧縮空気漏れを起こすことがある。そのため、亀裂が進行すると圧縮空気の供給量が追い付かなくなるため、エア圧力低下の警告ランプ点灯及び警報が鳴り、最悪の場合、駐車ブレーキが解除できなくなり走行不能に至るおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、エア圧力テスト用コネクタを対策品に交換する。
