Defect
The adhesive method used to bond the mirror glass to the holder in the manual anti-glare rearview mirror is improper, resulting in insufficient bond strength. The adhesive may fail, causing the mirror glass to lift away from the holder. In the worst case, the mirror glass can detach completely, preventing the driver from monitoring rearward traffic conditions.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the manual anti-glare rearview mirror with a corrected part.
