Defect
During pre-shipment inspection of type-certified motorcycles, the pass/fail criteria for the brake inspection and speedometer error inspection were not clearly defined. As a result, conformance with the Safety Standards under the Road Vehicles Act may not have been properly verified.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, conduct re-inspection of the brake performance and speedometer error at the vehicle manufacturing facility. Any nonconformance with the Safety Standards under the Road Vehicles Act identified during re-inspection must be corrected.

状況
型式認定二輪車の出荷検査において、ブレーキ検査及び速度計指示誤差検査の合否判定が不明確であったため、道路運送車両法の保安基準にかかる適合性の確認が適切に行われていなかったおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、車両製作工場にてブレーキ及び速度計指示誤差の再検査を行い、道路運送車両法の保安基準にかかる不具合が認められた場合は是正する。
