|---|---|
| Type | Statutory Recall (government-mandated recall) |

Defect
The resistor in the wheel speed sensor power supply circuit within the speedometer has insufficient corrosion resistance, causing the resistor to corrode and develop poor electrical continuity. As a result, power is no longer supplied to the wheel speed sensor. The wheel speed sensor stops functioning, and both the speedometer and odometer may cease to operate.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the speedometer with a corrected part.
