Overview
| MLIT filing number | 1155420 |
|---|---|
| Type | Statutory Recall (government-mandated recall) |
| Date filed | October 3, 2024 |
| Manufacturer(s) | Suzuki |
| Component | Fuel pump |
| Production period | January 31, 2014 — October 14, 2022 |
| Vehicles affected | 11,805 units |
Defect
The fuel pump has an improperly designed connection structure at the fuel hose interface. When the vehicle is used in a salt-damage environment, cracks may develop on the surface of the resin discharge port. Continued long-term use allows the cracks to progress, which may result in a fuel leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the fuel pump with a new unit, replace the fuel hose with a corrected part, and add a rubber cover over the fuel pump discharge port.
