Defect
On mild hybrid and hybrid vehicles, the belt driving the ISG (integrated starter-generator) and water pump has insufficient strength and may fracture during service use. If the belt breaks, the ISG and water pump stop functioning: a charging warning light illuminates due to loss of generating capacity, and a coolant temperature warning light illuminates due to rising coolant temperature. In the worst case, the engine may stall and be unable to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the water pump belt with the corrected part.

状況
マイルドハイブリッド車およびハイブリッド車において、ISG(モーター機能付発電機)とウォーターポンプを駆動しているウォーターポンプベルトの強度が不足しているため、使用過程で破断することがある。そのため、ISGとウォーターポンプが作動しなくなり、発電不良により充電警告灯が点灯し、冷却水温上昇により水温警告灯が点灯する。また、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止して再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、ウォーターポンプベルトを対策品と交換する。
