Defect
On four-wheel-drive vehicles, the power supply circuit added to the transfer case electronic control unit when an aftermarket speed limiter is installed is incorrectly configured. When the speed limiter activates, excess current flows through the transfer case electronic control unit, damaging its internal circuit. This may cause the transfer case, the speed limiter, and the speedometer to become inoperative.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, modify the power supply circuit to the speed limiter.

状況
４輪駆動車の副変速機用電子制御装置において、速度抑制装置（スピードリミッター）を後付けした際の電源供給回路が不適切なものがある。そのため、速度抑制装置作動時に副変速機用電子制御装置に過電流が流れ、内部回路が損傷し、副変速機、速度抑制装置及び速度計が不作動となるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、速度抑制装置への電源供給回路を変更する。
