Defect
On large dump trucks, the fuel tank mounting bracket at the rear of the vehicle may have been assembled in contact with rivets on the side of the frame. Continued operation can cause the bracket's fastening bolts to loosen and the bracket to crack. In the worst case, the fuel tank or fuel lines may be damaged, resulting in a fuel leak.
Corrective action
Replace the rear fuel tank mounting bracket with a new part and remove the frame side rivets that cause the interference.
