Defect
The rear brake calipers were improperly manufactured, resulting in an oversized cylinder bore in the area that houses the parking brake piston. This reduces internal sealing integrity, preventing the caliper from maintaining a proper seal. Brake fluid leaks, causing the warning light to illuminate and, in the worst case, reducing braking force.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rear brake calipers with conforming units.

状況
後輪のブレーキにおいて、キャリパの製造が不適切なため、駐車ブレーキ用ピストンが収まる部分のシリンダ内径が大きいものがある。そのため、キャリパ内部のシール性が低く、密閉が保てずブレーキ液が漏れて警告灯が点灯し、最悪の場合、制動力が低下するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、後輪のブレーキキャリパを良品に交換する。
