Defect
In the headlamp bulbs, an incorrect manufacturing process results in an incompatible material being used in the filament, reducing filament rigidity. Continued use allows driving vibration to break the filament, causing the headlamp to go dark. The broken filament may then contact the ground wire and blow a fuse. In the worst case, the engine may stall while driving.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the headlamp bulb will be replaced with a conforming part.
