Defect
An incorrect bulb selection for the headlamp causes resonance at specific engine speeds, producing large vertical oscillation of the filament inside the bulb. Continued use under this condition may cause the filament to break, resulting in headlamp failure.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, the headlamp bulb will be replaced with a corrected part. To prevent recurrence upon future bulb replacement, a clip will also be added to the bulb retaining spring holder.
