Defect
Inadequate moisture control during manufacturing of the power module (composite power element) in the rectifier allows the bond between the cooling fin case and the power module to separate after extended idling followed by sustained high engine speed. This causes the temperature of the rectifying elements inside the power module to exceed their heat resistance limit, making it impossible to control the charging current. Continued use in this condition causes the battery to become insufficiently charged and, in the worst case, the engine stalls while driving and cannot be restarted.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the rectifier with a corrected part.

状況
整流器において、パワーモジュール（電力用複合素子）製造時の吸湿管理が不適切なため、長時間のアイドリング後にエンジンを高回転で持続した場合、冷却フィン付きケースとパワーモジュールの接着が剥がれ、パワーモジュール内部の整流素子の温度が、耐熱温度以上に上昇し、発電電流の制御ができなくなるものがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると、バッテリが充電不足となり、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止して再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、整流器を対策品と交換する。
