Defect
In the engine, the heat treatment of the tappets and the cylinder head assembly process are incorrectly performed on some units. If foreign material enters between a tappet and the camshaft, the tappet wears abnormally and generates abnormal noise. Continued operation in this condition may, in the worst case, cause the engine to stall while driving.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, tappet clearance will be inspected. Where clearance exceeds the specified value, the tappets and camshaft will be replaced with corrected parts.

状況
原動機において、タペットの熱処理及びシリンダヘッドの組付工程が不適切なものがある。そのため、タペットとカムシャフトの間に異物が混入すると、タペットが異常摩耗して異音が発生し、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、最悪の場合、走行中にエンジンが停止するおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、タペットクリアランスを点検し、クリアランスが規定値を超えているものは、タペット及びカムシャフトを対策品に交換する。
