Defect
In the ignition switch keyless start system, the start control unit contains an incorrect program. When the vehicle is outside the radio communication range of the key fob that serves as the ignition key, the vehicle may fail to lock. In that condition, a person other than the driver may be able to operate the ignition switch and start the engine.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the keyless start control unit with a unit containing the corrected program, and replace the key fob as well.

状況
イグニッションスイッチのキーレススタートシステムにおいて、スタートコントロールユニットのプログラムが不適切なため、イグニッションキーの役割をする携帯機との電波交信範囲外において施錠されない場合がある。そのため、その状態で運転者以外の者が、イグニッションスイッチを操作すると、エンジンを始動できるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、キーレススタートコントロールユニットのプログラムを変更した対策品に交換するとともに携帯機も交換する。
