Defect
A supplier reported that an inflator housing ruptured during the dismantling of a third-party vehicle. Although the root cause has not been determined, inflators of the same production year and type may rupture and fragment during airbag deployment, causing a vehicle fire or injuring occupants. 状況
助手席用エアバッグのインフレータ(膨張装置)において、他社製車両解体作業時にインフレータ容器の破損が発生したとの情報を取引先より入手した。このため、原因は判明していないが、同年式で同タイプのインフレータはエアバッグ展開時にインフレータ容器が破損して飛び散り、出火したり乗員が負傷するおそれがあることから、全車両、予防的措置として、エアバッグモジュール、もしくはインフレータを良品に交換する。
改善措置
全車両、予防的措置として、助手席用エアバッグモジュール、もしくはインフレータを良品と交換、回収して不具合原因調査を実施する。
