Defect
During assembly of the rear brake automatic shoe-to-drum clearance adjustment mechanism (strut set), grease was not properly applied to the adjuster bolt thread surfaces on some units. Continued use in this condition allows the thread surfaces to rust and seize, disabling the automatic adjustment mechanism.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the adjuster bolt. If seized, replace the strut set with a non-defective unit. If not seized, clean the thread surfaces and apply grease.

状況
後輪ブレーキのシューとドラムの隙間を自動で調整する機構（ストラットセット）において、部品組立時のグリス塗布作業が不適切なため、アジャスタボルトのネジ面にグリスが塗布されていないものがある。そのため、そのままの状態で使用を続けると、ネジ面が錆びて固着し、自動調整機構が作動しなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、アジャスタボルトを点検し、固着しているものは、ストラットセットを良品に交換する、固着していないものは、ネジ面を清掃し、グリスを塗布する。
