Defect
On medium-duty trucks, the exhaust pipe welds have insufficient strength, causing excessive stress to develop at the weld joints due to exhaust gas pressure. This can produce cracks inside the exhaust pipe. If the vehicle continues to be operated in this condition, the cracks will propagate and, in the worst case, exhaust gas may leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the exhaust pipe with a corrected part.

状況
中型トラックの排気管において、溶接部の強度が不足しているため、排気管内圧により溶接部に過大な応力が発生し、排気管内部に亀裂が生じることがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、排気ガスが漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、排気管を対策品に交換する。
