Defect
On route buses, insufficient weld strength at the exhaust pipe joint allows engine rotation to induce resonance in the exhaust pipe, generating excessive stress and causing cracks to form at the weld. Continued operation allows the cracks to propagate and, in the worst case, exhaust gas may leak.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the exhaust pipe and related components with corrected parts.

状況
路線バスにおいて、排気管溶接部の強度が不足しているため、エンジン回転により排気管が共振して過大な応力が発生し、溶接部に亀裂が生じることがある。そのため、そのまま使用を続けると亀裂が進行し、最悪の場合、排気ガスが漏れるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、排気管および関連部品を対策品に交換する。
