Defect
In high-specification ambulances, the battery cable to the starter motor is improperly assembled, allowing the cable to contact and be damaged by the engine. Continued use may cause the cable to short circuit. In the worst case, the engine may stall and fail to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, inspect the cable. If no damage is found, reassemble it correctly. If damage is found, replace the cable with a new one or repair it, and reassemble it correctly.

状況
高規格救急車において、スターターモータへのバッテリーケーブルの組付けが不適切なため、当該ケーブルがエンジンと干渉して損傷しているものがあり、そのまま使用を続けると、当該ケーブルが短絡し、最悪の場合、エンストして再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該ケーブルを点検し、損傷が認められない場合は適切に組み付ける。また、損傷が認められた場合は、当該ケーブルを新品と交換または補修し、適切に組み付ける。
