Defect
A programming error in the air leak inspection system for the generator and drive front motor allowed units that failed inspection to be released to market. The defect causes oil to leak internally, leading to inadequate lubrication of the generator bearings and subsequent bearing damage. In the worst case, the vehicle enters a fail-safe state in which power generation is disabled, output is restricted, and maximum speed is limited to 50 km/h, and the vehicle may become unable to restart.
Corrective action
Replace the generator on all vehicles with a conforming unit.

状況
発電機(ジェネレータ)及び原動機(駆動用フロントモータ)のエアリーク検査システムにプログラムミスがあり、検査判定不良品が市場に流出した。そのため、オイル漏れが発生し、発電機(ジェネレータ)内のベアリングが潤滑不良となり破損し、最悪の場合、フェールセーフ状態(発電不可となり出力制限し、最高速度を50km/hに制限する走行状態)となり、再始動不可となる場合がある。
改善措置
全車両、発電機(ジェネレータ)を良品に交換する。
