Defect
A programming error in the air leak inspection system for the drive motor allowed units that failed inspection to be released to market. The defect causes coolant to leak internally. In the worst case, the leak produces an electrical short circuit inside the drive motor, causing the vehicle to enter a fail-safe state in which output is restricted and maximum speed is limited to 60 km/h, and the vehicle may become unable to restart.
Corrective action
Replace the drive motor on all vehicles with a conforming unit.

状況
駆動用モータのエアリーク検査システムにプログラムミスがあり、検査判定不良品が市場に流出した。そのため、冷却水が漏れ、最悪の場合、駆動用モータ内部で漏電が発生し、フェールセーフ状態（出力制限し、最高速度を６０ｋｍ／ｈに制限する走行状態）となり、再始動不可となる場合がある。
改善措置
全車両、原動機（駆動用モータ）を良品に交換する。
