Defect
On vehicles equipped with an idling stop system, the generator pulley has been improperly tightened. The loose pulley generates abnormal noise and may eventually detach, causing the generator to stop producing power and illuminating a warning light. Continued operation in this condition may, in the worst case, cause the engine to stall and be unable to restart.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the generator serial number and, if the unit is within the affected range, replace the generator with a corrected part.

状況
アイドリングストップ付車の発電機において、プーリーの締付けが不適切なため、当該プーリーが緩むことで異音が発生し、当該プーリーが脱落することがある。そのため、当該発電機が発電しなくなり警告灯が点灯し、そのまま使用を続けると、最悪の場合、エンストして再始動できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、当該発電機の製造番号を確認し、対象の場合は当該発電機を対策品と交換する。
