Defect
On e-POWER vehicles, the application of insulating varnish to the generator motor's stator core was not properly controlled during the manufacturing process, resulting in insufficient varnish coverage on certain units. This causes insulation failure, reducing insulation resistance. Continued use may trigger the e-POWER system warning lamp and display a warning message, causing the generator motor to cease power generation. This cuts off power supply to the EV battery and may render the vehicle unable to be driven.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, verify the generator motor serial number. If the unit falls within the affected range, replace the generator motor with a corrected part.

状況
e-POWER車の発電用モーターにおいて、ステータコアへの絶縁材(ワニス)塗布量管理が不適切なため、ワニスの塗布量が少ないものがある。そのため、絶縁不良が発生し、絶縁不良により絶縁抵抗値が低下し、そのまま使用を続けると、e-POWERシステム警告灯の点灯及び、警告メッセージが表示され発電用モーターが発電を停止することで、EVバッテリーへ電源供給がされなくなり、走行できなくなるおそれがある。
改善措置
全車両、発電用モーターのシリアル番号を確認し、不具合対象であれば対策品に交換する。
