Defect
On transit buses, the battery ground circuit earth cable terminal is not securely fastened to the body due to the following manufacturing cause: ① waterproof sealant material is trapped between the earth cable terminal and the body. This causes the earth cable terminal mounting bolt to loosen and lose electrical contact. As a result, battery power is interrupted, and in the worst case, the engine may stall or, if a door is open, the door may close unexpectedly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, re-tap the nut for the earth cable terminal mounting bolt, remove the ① waterproof sealant material, and inspect the earth cable terminal mounting bolt; replace the bolt with a new unit if it is damaged.

状況
路線バスのバッテリのアース回路において、下記の製造時の原因によりアースケーブル端子と車体の固定が不確実なため、アースケーブル端子固定ボルトが緩み、接触不良となるものがある。そのため、バッテリ電源が断たれ、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止したり、扉が開いていた際は、扉が閉じるおそれがある。 ①防水シール材がアースケーブル端子と車体の間に噛み込んでいる。
改善措置
全車両、アースケーブル端子固定ボルト取付けナットをねじ切り処理し、①防水シール材を除去すると共に、アースケーブル端子固定ボルトを点検し、損傷している場合は当該ボルトを新品に交換する。
