Defect
On transit buses, the battery ground circuit earth cable terminal is not securely fastened to the body due to the following manufacturing cause: ③ the nut for the earth cable terminal mounting bolt is misaligned with the body hole, causing the bolt threads to interfere with the body. This causes the earth cable terminal mounting bolt to loosen and lose electrical contact. As a result, battery power is interrupted, and in the worst case, the engine may stall or, if a door is open, the door may close unexpectedly.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, re-tap the nut for the earth cable terminal mounting bolt and replace the ③ earth cable terminal mounting bolt with a new unit.

状況
路線バスのバッテリのアース回路において、下記の製造時の原因によりアースケーブル端子と車体の固定が不確実なため、アースケーブル端子固定ボルトが緩み、接触不良となるものがある。そのため、バッテリ電源が断たれ、最悪の場合、エンジンが停止したり、扉が開いていた際は、扉が閉じるおそれがある。 ③アースケーブル端子固定ボルト取付けナットと車体穴の芯がずれ、ボルトのねじ山と車体が干渉する。
改善措置
全車両、アースケーブル端子固定ボルト取付けナットをねじ切り処理し、③アースケーブル端子固定ボルトを新品に交換する。
