Defect
The passenger door open/close control program is defective, and the sensor that detects the nearly-closed door position — used to trigger the closer mechanism that pulls the door fully in and locks it — has manufacturing variation in its detection characteristics. When the sensor fails to detect the near-closed position, the closer does not engage and the door is not securely locked. While the vehicle is in motion, if a passenger blocks the photoelectric sensor near the door, the door may open.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the ECU with the corrected part. Inspect the closer switch position and adjust any that are improperly positioned.

状況
③乗降扉の開閉制御プログラムが不適切なため、また、乗降扉が閉まる直前で扉を車内に引き込みロックする機構（クローザ）を働かせるために備えられた、扉が閉まる直前の位置を検知するセンサーに製造バラツキがあるため、当該センサーによる検知がなされない場合において、クローザが働かず確実に扉をロックできず、走行中に乗客が扉近傍に設置された検知器（光電管）を遮った際に扉が開く。
改善措置
全車両、当該ＥＣＵを対策品と交換する。また、クローザスイッチの位置を点検し、不適切なものは位置を変更する。
