Defect
The passenger door open/close control program is defective. Under the following sequence of conditions, the anti-entrapment mechanism fails to operate and the door closes even when a passenger is blocking the photoelectric sensor mounted near the door: the passenger blocks the sensor while the driver initiates a door-close operation (the pre-close warning buzzer sounds); the passenger then moves clear of the sensor (the buzzer stops); and the passenger re-enters the sensor beam during the interval between the close command signal being issued and the door beginning to move. During this interval, the anti-entrapment function does not activate and the door closes, creating a risk of passenger entrapment.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the ECU with the corrected part. Inspect the closer switch position and adjust any that are improperly positioned.

状況
①乗降扉の開閉制御プログラムが不適切なため、以下の条件に当てはまる場合には、乗客が扉近傍に設置された検知器(光電管)を遮っているにも関わらず、乗降中の乗客が扉に挟まれることを防止する機構が働かず扉が閉まる。 ・乗客が検知器(光電管)を遮っている状態で、運転者が乗降扉を閉 じる操作を行う(扉の閉動作を予告するブザーが鳴る) ・次に、乗客が検知器を遮らない位置に移動する(ブザーが鳴り終 わる) ・その後、扉を閉める信号が出てから扉が閉まる動作を開始するまで の間において、乗客が検知器を遮る(このとき扉が閉まってしまう )
改善措置
全車両、当該ECUを対策品と交換する。また、クローザスイッチの位置を点検し、不適切なものは位置を変更する。
