Defect
The instrument panel illumination control program for the speedometer and other gauges is incorrect. When the switch is operated to turn on the parking lights or similar lamps, the instrument panel illumination may fail to activate in conjunction.
Corrective action
On all vehicles, replace the instrument panel with one containing the corrected illumination control program.
